The Spirit and Light Sponsored a Presentation Against Violence - October 26, 2025

We joined Mercy Associates from Honduras to learn about The Women’s Forum (Foro de Mujeres) - "Safety for Those Who Stay: Honduran Women’s Struggle Against Violence" - The forum took place on October 26, 2025, at Saint Giles Campus.

Why do people migrate? One reason is the threat of violence to themselves and their children. The women in Honduras face extremely high levels of domestic violence and femicide.

Speakers, Martha Isabel Sandoval and Noemí Dubón, shared their stories and successes in supporting and caring for Honduran woman. They also asked for our support to purchase a national headquarters for The Women’s Forum (Foro de Mujeres) that focuses on solutions to this problem.
