Faith and Fellowship - Spirit and Light Collaborative
And so, what exactly is this “Faith and Fellowship?” – The "Faith and Fellowship" Ministry, under de auspices of Spirit and Light Collaborative, creates an awareness of God’s presence and care to adults who experience severe and persistent mental illness and provides a welcoming sense of belonging through the formation of communities of faith. We are an accompaniment ministry (not charity) with (not for) inclusion (not outreach), spirituality (not therapy) within our church (not social service).
Tim Smyth, our "Faith and Fellowship" Coordinator, has worked with a variety of people, including those with physical disabilities and mental health issues. With his calm presence, thoughtful organization, and deep faith, Tim works with longtime volunteer, Don Gimbel, to orient himself to the people, curriculum and mission of "Faith and Fellowship".

Faith and Fellowship Update - December 2025
Faith and Fellowship is settling in nicely to our newly remodeled home in the Bridge Center at 38 N. Austin Blvd. In 2025, we welcomed Jean Bacom to the community as a new catechist, along with two new partners, bringing our community to a total of eighteen members. Catechists recently led our partners in the construction of Advent calendars before reflecting on the power of community and how God calls each of us to be stronger together.
