The Ascension and the St. Edmund Women's Spirituality Group gathers women in all stages of life to strengthen our connection to our God by connecting with each other through reading, prayer, and reflection. Each year, we choose a new book as a foundation for discussion of our personal thoughts and experiences. All women of the parish are invited to join us. Our policy remains: You’re always welcome, whether you have read the selected chapters or not!

We meet on the 2nd Thursday of the month, September - May, from 7:30 to 9:00 PM, with social time from 7:00 to 7:30 PM - Next on September 11, 2025 - We will be reading 2 books during 2025-2026. For most of the year, we’ll be reading Jesus: A Gospel Portrait by Donald Senior. During Lent, we’ll be reading The Women of the Passion by Kathleen Murphy.  

We'll be meeting in the Ascension Parish Center Dining Room for the meetings from September to April, and in Murphy Hall for our May meeting.
