Our St. Catherine of Siena-St. Lucy and St. Giles Parish Faith Family takes great pride in the number of gifted volunteers who contribute their time and talents to enhance the liturgies in our parish through our Music Ministry - It is their goal to be a support to the whole congregation, allowing Full, Conscious Active Participation(Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy) in Mass.

St. Catherine of Siena-St. Lucy and St. Giles Parish Music Ministries
The St. Catherine of Siena-St. Lucy and St. Giles Adult Choir join their voices to sing on Sunday mornings three times a month - Rehearsals are held on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM in St. Giles Church. New members are always welcome.

The St. Catherine of Siena-St. Lucy and St. Giles Teen Choir sings and plays once a month and at other special occasions - There are no set outside rehearsal times, though sometimes the group will have a short rehearsal before or after mass on the days they sing/play. Other outside rehearsal times may be set as needed and based on the availability of the students.

The St. Catherine of Siena-St. Lucy and St. Giles Handbell Choir plays monthly at various Masses and other special liturgical events - Rehearsals are held two or three times a month at St. Giles Church. We are currently seeking new members. This choir often uses a multi-octave set of handbells and chimes to accompany the music. While experience with reading music is often helpful, it's not always a requirement, as we offer training to new members.

Cantors have special musical skill and provide musical leadership at all Masses, as well as at weddings and other special liturgies. A commitment to this leadership role and a dedication to ongoing training and spiritual development is vital for the Cantor ministry.

Instrumentalists have special musical skill and compliment and support the singing of the choirs and congregation at all Masses, as well as at other special liturgies. Instrumentalists are welcome to be part of the Adult, Praise and Teen Choirs and are matched with the choir of their age range. Ongoing training and support in the development of leaders in this important ministry.
