Respect Life Ministry - St. Catherine of Siena-St. Lucy and St. Giles
“If you want peace, work for justice. And if you want justice, defend life!” - Saint Pope John Paul II
The St. Catherine of Siena-St. Lucy and St. Giles Respect Life Ministry is committed to a culture of life: a world that joyfully sees God in every human person in all stages and in all conditions. We seek to encourage others to see the divine nature of all human life through prayer, education, and charity.
Each spring, the Parish participates in the Baby Bottle Project collecting spare change to benefit the Women's Center of Greater Chicagoland. This non-profit organization directly assists mothers and families experiencing crisis pregnancies and has saved over 40,000 babies and their mothers from abortion since opening in 1984.
October is Respect Life month, and the Parish offers the opportunity to pray a Novena for Life. The nine days of prayer culminate in a Holy Hour for Life at a Thursday Eucharistic Adoration at St. Giles Church.
Please contact our Parish Office at (708) 383-3430 for more information about our ministry involvement in the Respect Life Outreach.
