BOOKS FOR SALE - LIVING THE WORD Scripture Reflection Books are available for the new liturgical year that began with the First Sunday of Advent. Living the Word is a weekly scripture/reflection resource. It contains all of the Sunday and Holy Day readings for the year. This annual resource is a great way to come to know and pray God's Word and grow deeper in your experience of the Mass. As a parish, we encourage every parishioner to prepare for Sunday Mass by reading and reflecting on the Sunday scriptures before coming to Mass. Books are available at the main entrance of Ascension Church. The cost is $10. Simply take a book home today and return the enclosed payment envelope in the coming week.

Opportunity - Living the Word is an opportunity for us to grow in our knowledge and love of God through the prayerful reading and study of the scriptures.

Challenge - Living the Word is a challenge to make more time for God in our daily lives. We challenge ourselves to come to Mass each week ready to hear God's Word proclaimed and to take that Word to the world!

Commitment - Living the Word invites us to commit ourselves to spending time with God's Word several times each week. As we read and reread these scriptures, think about the words we read, and bring these words to prayer, we encounter Christ, God's Living Word.
