Spirit and Light Shared Event - A Silent Saturday, scheduled on April 25 from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM at St. Giles Campus, provides a few hours that are set aside for Silent Prayer, Lectio Divina or Spiritual Reading, and a reflective video by Fr. Archdiocesan Shared Event - The Adult Confirmation Process of the Archdiocese of Chicago is a pre-sacramental program for adults (18 and older) who have already received the Catholic sacraments of Baptism and First Holy Communion and are seeking to receive the sacrament of Confirmation. Community Shared Event - It is that time of year for the Annual CROP Hunger Walk to be held on May 3. We are looking for walkers as well as donations to support our team. This event is a wonderful way to help our neighbors around the world and locally because 75% gets distributed by Church World Services worldwide and 25% stays locally to help feed our neighbors. Spirit and Light Shared Event - Sign up now for Catholic Vacation Bible School. The camp runs from June 8 to June 12, 2026 from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. All children ages 4-11 are invited to attend. New members are most welcome to join the St. Edmund Saturday Night Choir. We are especially in need of tenors and basses to round out the sound. Mid-February is a perfect time of year to join us as we prepare for the Sundays of Lent, Holy Week, and Easter. St. Edmund Choir rehearses about three Wednesday evenings (beginning at 7:00 PM) and sings three of the Saturday 5:00 PM Masses each month with some exceptions. Ongoing Invitation to Support - Since the installation of the LISTEN WIFI assistive listening system in the Churches, more and more parishioners have begun using the app and are finding it helpful... We completed an evaluation of our overall sound systems at both Churches... The Knights of Columbus and the St. Edmund Diaper Ministry collect diapers and other items on the first weekend of the month for The Neighborhood Bridge, Housing Forward, and Beyond Hunger.

Please bring non-perishable food items to Ascension and St. Edmund Churches during Mass for our monthly St. Simon of Cyrene Food Pantry collection. Monetary donations are accepted in the offertory baskets at church or online.
