Companions Journeying Together - Ascension and St. Edmund Parish
Mother's Day Project
Communication with loved ones is very important for people who are imprisoned. It helps keep them grounded and better prepares them for their release. It’s important to the families as well. We facilitate the communication process by providing cards and stationery to juveniles, women, and men so they have materials to use, especially at Mother’s Day. Once again, we are asking for your help.
What we need for the Mother's Day Project:
Stationery, Mother’s Day cards, Thinking of You cards
USPS forever postage stamps
Paper lunch bags 5 1/8 x 3 1/8 x 10 5/8
Reams of colored paper on which to print our insert letter. Please no construction paper.
Monetary donations to help cover delivery costs
Golf pencils without an eraser
Materials we cannot use:
White paper, notebook paper, yellowed or very old cards
Cards, envelopes or stationery that have glitter or anything glued, pasted or taped on it or that have stickers attached,
Nothing with crayon, highlighter or marker. This is very important as we follow prison rules.
Regular pencils or ball point pens
