Pray for the Healing of the World

Join us on Thursday evening, March 19, 2026, at 7:30 PM at Ascension Church for Healing Prayer, Healing Song: An Ecumenical Service to Pray for the Healing of the World

Who is this service for? Everyone!

Each of us are in need some type of healing, we all carry the pain and hurts of life, and our world is very much in need of our prayers and action to foster healing, unity, and wholeness.

We invite you to join in the prayer to:

• Pray for the world and all that divides us, pray for all brokenness that needs to be healed and made whole.
• Pray for those people in your life who are suffering in many ways whether physical, emotional or spiritual.
• Pray for yourself and all the burdens you might be carrying.

The service is led by an ecumenical team of Protestant and Catholic pastors and pastoral ministers. A group of singers from various choirs and churches form an amazing “Healing Choir” that provides musical support and songs of healing at the service. For those who wish, the service also offers an opportunity for individual prayer, laying on of hands, and anointing.

I think some folks think this is primarily an anointing of the sick service and only for those who are very sick.
