Non-Parish Event of Interest - The Kathy McMahon Adams Fund provides $1,500 college scholarships to graduates of Ascension School and parishioners at Ascension and St. Edmund Parish who are either high school seniors or current college students. Archdiocesan Shared Event - Ministers of Care bring the Eucharist to Catholics from all walks of life who are unable to participate in the Eucharistic Liturgy at their parishes. Ministry of Care training will be offered on January 31 at Advent Health LaGrange Hospital.
Community Shared Event - We practice the Christian meditation prayer on Saturdays at 8:30 AM at Ascension Church or via Zoom. Various tools include centering prayer, the Jesus prayer, the breath prayer, lectio divina, and labyrinth walking.
