Scripture - Catholic Social Teachings - Catholic Communities of Oak Park and Neighbors
Scripture As Our Basis for Catholic Social Justice with Eric Hendry, PhD
Tuesdays, October 13, 20, and 27 at 7:00 PM in Murphy Hall of Saint Edmund Campus
What Catholics are called to do in the world to help build the Reign of God is the heart of the Catholic Social Teachings, which can be grouped in seven focuses:
Life and Dignity of the Human Person
Call to Family, Community, and Participation
Option for the Poor and Vulnerable
Dignity of Work and the Rights of Workers
Solidarity
Rights and Responsibilities
Care for God’s Creation
Through thoughtful input and discussion, this series will help participants understand the connection of Catholic Social Teaching to the Bible.
