Our Parishes in Oak Park Celebrated the Birth of the Lord Jesus Christ - December 24, 2025
On Wednesday, December 24, the Catholic Communities of Oak Park and Neighbors celebrated Christmas Eve Masses - The communities celebrated the birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, as the culmination of the mystery of the incarnation, the feast of God becoming flesh.
One of the Christmas Eve Masses at St. Catherine of Siena-St. Lucy and St. Giles Parish included a children's Nativity enactment, which was livestreamed at 3:00 PM as a family-oriented service. At Ascension and St. Edmund Parish, a traditional Midnight Christmas Mass was celebrated and livestreamed at 11:00 PM, preceded by carols at 10:30 PM. Through these services, featuring the Nativity enactment and carol music, the communities celebrated the birth of Christ and reflected on the gift of salvation and the redemptive purpose of his life.
