We Celebrated the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist - June 7, 2026

The Spirit and Light's Lifelong Learning Committee sponsored the first annual Corpus Christi Procession for the Catholic Communities of Oak Park. Parishioners, neighbors, and friends were called to celebrate the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist on the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, or Corpus Christi, on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

We began at 2:30 PM at Saint Giles Church with Adoration followed by a Eucharistic Procession, which ended at Saint Edmund Church. Then, people were invited to stay for the Catholic Community of Oak Park and Our Neighbors Mass at 5:00 PM. We encounter Christ in the Eucharist at Mass and bear His presence into the world through our words and actions of justice, peace, and love.
