Easter Sunrise Shoeboxes - St. Catherine of Siena-St. Lucy and St. Giles Parish
Lenten Outreach Opportunity - Shoeboxes collected will be donated to Housing Forward and various other Outreach Organizations. Starting on Ash Wednesday, February 18 and ending on Palm Sunday, March 29.
Fill a shoebox or a comparable-size container (you provide the container) with a variety of the following suggested items: Tube Socks, Hotel Size - Soap and Shampoo, Kleenex (small packages), Brush and/or Comb, Plastic rain poncho, Deodorant, Wash/Face Cloth, Disposable razor, Toothbrush/Toothpaste, Shaving gel/cream, Baby Powder, Hand Lotion, Small towel, Other small items, and Gift Card from McDonald’s, Burger King, etc. (not to exceed $10.00).
Please be sure to include the two items listed below - Word Search or Crossword Puzzle Book with Pen or Pencil and some wrapped Easter candy.
When your container is filled you can decorate it (if you choose to do so) or just put a rubber band around it. Be sure to mark the box either “Man” or “Woman”. Place it on the last bench in Church or drop it off at the Parish Center. Then during Holy Week all the Easter Sunrise Shoeboxes will be delivered to the various locations so that they can be distributed on Easter.
