More Court Dates this Summer - We expected two more of our resettled families to have the final court hearings regarding their asylum case before the end of July. We were surprised to learn that one of those hearings has been postponed to 2026. That is a great relief as it gives the family and the lawyer more time to prepare. For the other family, we have appealed to delay the hearing due to an illness but there has been no response. We are hopeful that the judge will agree that both of these families have a good case to remain in the United States. The families have traveled far and are grateful for all we have done. The mentors and families have become close friends. It would be hard if they need to leave.
There are new fees for all aspects of the immigration process that are now part of the 2025/2026 tax bill. Migrant Ministry is trying to decide how much support we can provide for these fees.
Thank you for all your past support. Donations have been slow recently. Please consider contributing to the Migrant Ministry fund again. The instructions are below.
Please continue to pray for our beloved migrant brothers and sisters.
