By the time you see this, the CROP Walk in Oak Park will have been completed. This is the 2nd year that the Migrant Ministry has been one of the local charities who benefits from this event. This year, we were asked to be the Grand Marshall. The event is sponsored by CWS, Church World Service, with the goal of fighting hunger worldwide. The political situation this year is very different for the families we have resettled. Last year, we were very happy to include the families at this event, and they were happy to join us. This year, we did not include them at the walk because of their concern for the threat of deportation.
Thank you to all who participated in the walk and to those who donated. A portion of those funds will be received by Migrant Ministry.
