It is that time of year – time for the Annual CROP Hunger Walk. This always falls on the first Sunday in May, which is May 3rd this year. We have expanded our team from the Ascension and St. Edmund Parish Team to the Catholic Parishes of Oak Park Team to also include St Catherine of Siena-St. Lucy and St. Giles Parish. 

My name is Kaydee Sproat and I am the team captain. This event is a wonderful way to help our neighbors around the world and locally because 75% gets distributed by Church World Services worldwide and 25% stays locally to help feed our neighbors. Food shortages are a major problem for many and we hope that our endeavors we can make big a difference. You can click on the link below to participate in the walk and to donate. Last year together with other local teams we collected an amazing $91,808. We are proud that our parish team’s contribution was $18,845.
