Ms. Kelly Archambault has officially been named Principal!

The St. Catherine - St. Lucy (SCSL) hiring committee is thrilled to announce a familiar face as our new leader: Ms. Kelly Archambault has officially been named Principal! Big Shoulders, the Office of Catholic Schools, and the SCSL hiring committee have confidence in Kelly and believe she is the best candidate for the role.

While the title is new, Ms. Archambault is already a beloved pillar of our school community. Having served as our Assistant Principal for the past two years, she has been an essential member of the leadership team, building deep relationships with our faculty, students, and parents.

Kelly brings a diverse and impressive background in education to the principal’s office, rooted in both administrative leadership and classroom expertise. She first joined us through the prestigious Big Shoulders Fund Schreiber Assistant Principal Residency program and immediately distinguished herself as a dedicated, tireless advocate for our families. She previously spent five years at St. Gabriel School, a role preceded by her time as a CPS AP English teacher at Foreman High School. Furthermore, as a dedicated member of the St. Giles Parish, she comes with high praise from Fr. Carl Morello, a connection that will undoubtedly further strengthen the bond within our faith community.

Drawing on his experience working alongside her, President Staunton Peck noted that Kelly "possesses the perfect blend of curriculum expertise and the ability to challenge and support our faculty academically, all while faithfully greeting every student with open arms each morning." He expressed full confidence that she will seamlessly carry forward the standard of excellence established by Sharon Leamy during her tenure.

Outside of her professional life, Kelly is a neighbor. She resides in the Galewood community with her son, Charlie. Her deep personal and professional ties to the area underscore her commitment to seeing our students thrive both in and out of the classroom.
