A Trip to Poland’s Advent Markets - Catholic Communities of Oak Park and Neighbors
Get into the Spirit of Christmas by planning a Trip to Poland’s Advent Markets!
Consider planning to get into the Spirit by joining in on a trip to Poland’s Advent Markets from November 28 to December 3, 2026.
Gdansk… Torun… Warsaw… Czestochowa… Wroclaw… Krakow… Zakopane are among the places we will visit. Since the Middle Ages, December in Europe means the Advent Christmas markets, where for centuries local craftsmen have expressed the message of Christmas in traditional handcrafts and decorations. Perhaps you can find some unique gifts for someone you love or someone who you don’t know what gift to give this year! Come and experience the sights, the smells and flavors, and the sounds of these markets. Enjoy roasting chestnuts, bratwurst, and mulled wine, and experience the magic of Advent / Christmas against the backdrop of Polish History. There are still some spots open for this exciting adventure.
An informational meeting is scheduled at 7:00 PM on Monday, July 20 in McDonough Hall on the Saint Giles Campus. A representative from Trans World Travel will join us. Stop in and learn more about this trip. > Trip to Poland Brochure (PDF) If you are unable to attend the informational meeting but are interested in joining the trip, call the office and leave your name and someone will contact you.
The trip will be hosted by Father Carl Morello, Father Larry Basbas and Father Tom May.
