Successful Fundraiser for Migrant Ministry - On a lovely summer evening a group of amazing volunteers held a fundraising event to benefit Migrant Ministry at a local venue. The announcements said that the doors would open at 5:30 PM, and at that appointed hour there was a line out the door. By the end of the evening almost 250 people had paid to enter - people of all ages including a few infants and a few pastors.
Two local bands provided music, energy and a sense of celebration. A huge variety of auction and raffle items were available. Everything from Cubs tickets to gift cards from local shops.
We don’t know the final financial benefit, but there was an incredible boost to the spirits of the many volunteers attending and assisting. We are so grateful to everyone who participated and everyone who attended. Thank you!
Thank you for making our work possible! Donations are accepted on Monday mornings from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the former Saint Bernardine School, 815 Elgin in Forest Park. WE HAVE A GREAT NEED FOR TOWELS, BEDDING AND SMALLER SIZE MEN’S SHOES.
