Reaching Out In New Ways - The Migrant Ministry continues its efforts to meet the short-and long-term needs of our migrant brothers and sisters, but is increasingly called to serve in new ways. A new ministry is developing to support migrants who have been detained, often for months, in deplorable conditions in detention centers. Remember that the migrants are grabbed off the streets, unable to take any personal items with them. We have connected with an organization to support migrants by adding money to their commissary and communication accounts so they can purchase needed items (including food!) as well as talk and text with family members. This is a concrete way of demonstrating compassionate support of New Neighbors.

Thank you for your support of the Migrant Ministry. Donations are accepted on Mondays from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the former Saint Bernardine School, 815 Elgin in Forest Park. We are now accepting only spring and summer clothing, AND HAVE A GREAT NEED FOR BLANKETS, SHEETS, AND TOWELS.
