HAPPY EASTER TO ALL! I am full of joy knowing you are reading my corner and staying connected with our faith community. I extend grace and peace to you today in the name of our Risen Lord.
As we celebrate this glorious Feast of Easter, I want to extend my warmest wishes to each of you for a blessed and joy-filled Easter. Today we proclaim with confidence: Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! Easter is more than a day on the calendar, it is at the heart of our faith. The Resurrection of Jesus Christ reminds us that no matter what trial or challenges we face, there is always hope. Even in the face of life’s greatest transition – death itself – God declares that love and life have the final word.
Because he lives, we are never without hope. Because he lives, we can face tomorrow with courage. May this Easter fill your hearts with renewed faith, unshakable hope, and the deep peace that comes from knowing that nothing, not even death, can separate us from the love of God.
As Easter people, we are called not only to celebrate the Resurrection today but to live its joy every day. And these days, we need joy in our country more than ever! So let the power of the empty tomb shape your words, your actions, and your outlook. Bring Easter joy into your day by choosing kindness over judgement, offering forgiveness even when it is hard, speaking words of hope, and serving others with love. In doing so, we become living witnesses to the truth that Christ is alive and His light still shines through us.
I ask for your prayers, and continued support of time, treasure and talent to keep our ministries and the services we offer to those most in need alive and vibrant. Your generosity and support helps keep the light shining in and through our parish communities. We are the Catholic Community of Oak Park and Neighbors living in Easter joy and hope!
Today, we rejoice together in the Risen Lord!
With you a Christian. For you a priest.
